You need clarity.

I knew I wanted to be an interior designer from a very young age.

As a child and into my teens, I was constantly redesigning my bedroom, rearranging furniture, sewing bedsheets into window coverings, and moving things around the house whenever I had the chance. It was a make-shift version of what I do now.

Then, when I was 12, my uncle, a graphic designer, said something that changed everything: "Interior designers can move walls." I looked at the wall behind him and asked, "You mean I can push that out a couple of feet?" That was it. I knew that's what I wanted to do.

After graduating from the University of Manitoba in 1999, I jumped right into the design industry, gaining experience in hospitality, multi-family, and single-family residential design. I then ventured on my own, opening Onida Garner Design in 2014. 

My expertise goes beyond the creative side of design. I regularly collaborate with builders and architects to ensure every project comes together seamlessly. My range as a designer includes renovations and new builds with a strong foundation in space planning, custom millwork, lighting design, and the integration of colour, materials, fixtures, furniture, and project management.

Whether the project is a kitchen renovation, a whole-home transformation, or a new build, I bring the same creativity and passion for beautiful and functional design.
