LOWER LONSDALE TOWNHOUSE RENOVATION + FURNITURE

My clients were a professional couple with two children who had lived in this three‑floor townhouse for some time before deciding to renovate it from top to bottom.

In the kitchen, we maximized the ceiling height by extending the cabinets and added functional built‑ins in the family room that serve as both TV unit and desk, with generous storage for toys, games, and family memorabilia. Around the corner, a built‑in cabinet with open shelving provides additional book storage, tucked out of sight. On the second floor, the original secondary bedroom had its own ensuite and extra width. The clients wanted both children to access the bathroom without going through the bedroom, so we reconfigured the plan to create a hallway that now leads to both rooms.

The goal was to keep the spaces light and bright with playful accents, from plumbing fixtures and hardware to furniture, accessories, and mirrors. We opted for a deep blue vanity in the second‑floor bathroom with a mix of brass and black accents, and selected new furniture throughout, accented with yellow to tie in the gold hardware and the colours in their extensive art collection.

They now have a modern, functional home that fits their family, and they love where they live.
