KITS POINT MAJOR RENOVATION + FURNITURE

My clients were two retired professionals who moved from their Point Grey condo into this 1924 single-family home. Although parts of the house had been updated over the years, the finishes and layout didn’t suit their style or the way they wanted to live.

We made major changes to the basement, including moving the stairs to sit under the set that leads to the upper floor. This allowed us to recapture a series of small closets and nooks and turn them into a proper guest bedroom, a large laundry room with generous storage, and an exercise area. By relocating the stairs, we were also able to create a long pantry in the kitchen.

Each room now has a clear purpose, with new built-ins designed for every space, and we continued the four-accent-colour story – blue, green, red, and yellow – to tie this home back to their previous condo.

They now feel this is their forever home and truly love where they live.
